For the 2011 - 2012 Reporting Year, the campuses of Olympus Inc., including the campuses of Olympian University, Aladdin Beauty College, I.T.S. Academy of Beauty and Hair Benders Academy.

  • Of those scheduled to graduate, 55.10% completed their program.
  • Of those graduates who took their state licensing exam, 71.10% passed.
  • Of those that were licensed during that time, 99.80% have found jobs.

Students wishing to apply for financial aid may do so by scheduling an appointment with the Admissions Department upon enrollment or may choose to do it online.   For those applying for Pell Grants, Subsidized Loans, Unsubsidized Loans & PLUS Loans, you may complete your FAFSA forms prior to your second interview online at   FAFSA.com.  

All funding is available to those who qualify. We encourage students and parents to contact our Admissions Department at the school location nearest to you to answer any questions you may have.

The school requires that each student enrolling in the Cosmetology, or Manicuring course is at least 17 years of age and have graduated from high school or received a GED

Applicants for the Instructor Course must meet the following criteria:

  1. Hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  2. Have met all requirements for licensure as a cosmetologist.
  3. Be at least 17 years of age.

The school does not recruit students already attending or admitted to any other school offering a similar program of study.

The school will administer a scholastic evaluation to students wishing to transfer to the school or require the transfer student to enter the school’s Phase I class. Based on the test results, if applicable, the school may recognize credit for all or part of the applicant’s previous training or work experience provided it is recognized by the Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists. Any transfer hours must be submitted and approved prior to enrollment. Transfer students must complete a minimum of 300 clock hours. In addition, such students must meet all regular entrance and registration requirements. If approved for enrollment, tuition will be charged at the hourly rate for the course of study at the time of enrollment plus the applicable registration fee.

Applicants contracting for 50% or more of the full course length will be provided a kit, which includes applicable texts and uniforms according to the standard policy for full course students. Applicants contracting for less than 50% of the full course length will be charged for the full kit, uniform, and applicable texts which will remain the property of the student when all graduation requirements have been met. A student transferring from one Olympian University Inc. campus to another will be charged a $100 fee, but their contract will remain the same. All transfer and re-entry students must be properly registered with the state regulatory agency.


Any person is eligible to receive a license as a cosmetologist, or a manicurist who submits proof that s/he is at least 17 years of age; has an education equivalent to the completion of the second year of an approved high school; has completed the required clock hours in an approved school for the applicable course; has paid the required fees; and has passed the examination conducted by the Board to determine his/her fitness to receive a license.

Any person is eligible to receive a license as an Instructor who submits proof that s/he is at least 17 years of age; holds a New Mexico Cosmetology or Barber license; has an education equivalent to the completion of an approved four year high school; has completed an instructor course of 1000 clock hours or two years of work experience; has paid the required fees and has passed the examination conducted by the Board. Instructors in the State of New Mexico must obtain twelve clock hours of continuing education every year for license renewal. A Provisional Instructor License may be awarded to a licensee who has three years of documented work experience but such license will become void after two renewals if the licensee has not taken and passed the Instructor examination and obtained a regular license.
